30 Days of Mobile Photography – Day 7

One week with just me and the iPhone have passed. I am really enjoying the challenge more and more everyday. I took a few shots today but this one was my favorite. We'll see what happens tomorrow…

Really great first week. Solid images, great contrast in both image tones and subject matter, and clearly being able to make the camera work for you instead of the other way around.

Thank you +Matthew Lamb one camera and one lens has helped me focus on composition more than ever. Makes me think. It's been a fun challenge so far :)

Agree with Matthew. Composition is the key to it all. Any way that you can get yourself concentrated on that is a good thing to be doing. People often rip the piss out of folk using their ipads to take photos. Actually having that large a frame in front of your face is a great way to concentrate on composition.. much the same as having a 10×8 plate camera in front of you but without the extra, useful foible of the image being upside down and back to front. In fact, there is probably an app for that…

+Alfie Goodrich You make me feel guilty now. I was making fun of such people with a friend last night. But what you say makes sense. It makes me want to give it a try.
